Holistic massage is a dialogue between your body and the therapist. A massage routine isn’t imposed on you, your body isn’t pummeled into submission, instead your body is gently invited to relax, to stretch, to release and open; helping you to feel relaxed, rejuvenated and restored.
Holistic means I take into account the whole of you. The idea is that everything is connected. For example, by massaging the lower back, we can relieve tension in the neck. Or, by massaging a muscle in the leg, we could release the lower back.
As everything in your body is connected, so your mind and spirit are too connected to your body. Every day since we were born we have taken in information and our brain and body has as made sense of it. As we grow up we sometimes hold on to certain ways of being, or holding our bodies in ways that lead to “unexplained”discomfort.
We are designed to be able to process these external stresses phisiologically, when we experience long term stress, or we don’t feel safe. Often without being us concious of it our bodies get stuck in the stress fighting mode. This can be the root of of the pain and muscle tension that we experience.
All treatment sessions are different and I tailor my techniques to make them suitable for YOU. We can do a deep tissue massage, if that’s what your body is craving, or we can relieve tension with a lighter touch and stretching.

We can plan the sesion, so that you are as comfortable as possible. One of the great things about therapeutic massage is how adaptable it is. We can talk about what feels right for you in, your body. You ask me to work through your clothes, with oil on skin or sitting in a chair.
I am skillful in a variety of techniques, including relaxation massage, deep tissuefinding those knot and unrvelling them! Along with stretching, guided breathing techniques are integrated to create a treatment specifically for you.
