Arthritis (both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis)

arthritis is the inflamation of the joints. This causes pain, swelling and stiffness.

There are two main types of Arthritis Osteo-arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Osteo-arthitis is caused by wear and tear of the joints, this is why its prevalence increases with age. It is the weight bearing joints that are usually most affected; hips, knees and fingers.

A very different condition, with a simillar name is Rhematoid Arthritis. Rhematoid Arthritis is not a degenerative condition. It is an autoimmune disease, where the body attacks it’s own tissues. Since stress is often leads to a flare up. Regular gentle massage can help
